Setting Up Regulatory Monitoring
Configure Conformii's monitoring to watch the right sources for your operations.
How Regulatory Monitoring Works
Conformii's regulatory monitoring function continuously scans primary regulatory sources for changes relevant to your configured jurisdictions and operational areas. When a relevant change is detected, it's surfaced in your monitoring feed and linked to affected obligations in your register.
Configuring Your Monitoring Scope
From the Monitoring Settings panel, configure:
Jurisdictions — Select the provincial and federal jurisdictions that apply to your operations. Each jurisdiction activates the relevant regulatory sources for that region.
Regulators — Within each jurisdiction, you can select specific regulators. For Alberta-based operations, this typically includes the AER, Alberta Environment and Parks and applicable federal bodies (NEB/CER for pipelines, ECCC for environmental reporting).
Frameworks — If your organization reports against voluntary or emerging frameworks (TCFD, GRI, SASB), add these to your monitoring scope to track guidance updates and requirement changes.
Keywords — Add operational keywords (e.g., "solution gas," "well abandonment," "facility licensing") to surface relevant non-regulatory sources including industry bulletins and guidance documents.
Reviewing Monitoring Alerts
Monitoring alerts appear in your Monitoring Feed. Each alert includes:
Review and disposition each alert within 5 business days of receipt. Undispositioned alerts escalate to your Compliance Manager.
Monitoring Frequency
Conformii checks primary sources daily. Some sources (AER bulletins, enforcement announcements) are checked more frequently. You'll receive an email digest of new alerts on the frequency you configure — daily, weekly or immediate.
